Job ObjectiveThe QATesting Analyst/Sr. Associate is responsible for developing,
Implementing, and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies
that ensure thorough testing of all assigned applications. Additional
responsibilities include: defining test strategy, managing defects, generating
reports, communicating issues, documenting test results, reviewing
documentation. He/she demonstrates accomplished technical expertise and works
independently to solve complex problems requiring judgment based on functional
experience. Outwardly seeks opportunities to improve products and processes.Primary responsibilities of this position may include:
Attending internal business training/mentoring to learn about the product being tested and to facilitate transition/transfer of knowledge Testing service releases and hotfixes as scheduled or as needs ariseo Conduct testing of issues addressed in the release as well as regression
testing to ensure correct application functionality
Work in fast-paced mode requiring flexibility as priorities may change which
may impact designated work focus Testing maintenance releases of medium to large scale applications to ensure the following:
New requirements have been met and defect fixes have been addressed
appropriately by:
Running appropriate test plans and recording testing results
Conducting additional positive and negative testing to ensure the processes
being testing are fully tested, including additional scenarios that may not be
covered in test plans
Providing feedback to test lead regarding any gaps in test plans which may
include additional testing that should be conducted
Writing defects for issues found using the Test Director tool
Perform regression testing in assigned areas of application to ensure the
existing functionality continues to function as intended. Testing of fixes identified during the test cycle to ensure they have been corrected and no new issues result as of these fixes Develop and update test plans and scenarios in accordance with the functional requirement Develop and update test plans based on additional test scenarios being identified during testing Interact positively and meaningfully with outside teams including development and business analysts as requiredEducation and Other Typical
Requirements
Four year degree in any business/ technical area or equivalent experience is
preferred and three plus years relevant work experience.
Formal software development life cycle experience preferred
Experience in Windows XP, software installation and configuration, local area
networking, internet technologies a plus
Knowledge of internet technologies, industry-standard browsers
Experience with performance, stress, and load testing preferred
Experience with test management tools, including Mercury Interactive’s Test
Director preferred
Experience with automated test tools, including WinRunner and Quick Test Pro
preferred
Thorough and detail oriented with good organizational skills
Strong diagnostic, testing, and problem-solving skills
Customer-driven attitude with exceptional work ethic
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, flexible with respect to
change

Education Requirement:
Four year degree in any business/ technical area or equivalent experience is
preferred and three plus years relevant work experience.Essential Requirements:
Experience in quality assurance testing preferably using automated testing
tools (Winrunner, QTP, etc)
Proficiency in portal and web technology
Prefer database knowledge (ie: Oracle)
Experience in Windows XP, software installation and configuration, local area
networking, and internet technologies.
Experience with Lotus Notes strongly preferred.
Experience with automated test programs, internet-based application testing
methodologies, and/or application performance and stress testing a plus
