About Us:
Our client is a regional public accounting firm with offices throughout California.

About the Position:
They are currently seeking an IT Auditor with external / public accounting firm experience. Qualified individuals must have COSO/COBIT experience and SARBOX experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities include:
1. Perform client interviews in order to identify relevant Application and General IT controls, and document the properties associated with those controls based upon the existing SOX IT model.
2. Co-ordinate and execute periodic IT reviews and audits (application, system, technical, computer centre and projects) for policy and procedural compliance and the identification of control weaknesses.
3. Make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing system controls, standards and procedures to strengthen the IT control environment.
4. Monitor system and procedural changes and influence the relevant parties to implement those changes in a timely and effective manner.
5. Assist in the development of ongoing monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
6. Communicate with the Project Management regarding completed reviews and resolution of recommendations.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· 2+ years experience in public accounting IT auditing with a good understanding of IT security and networks is essential
· Bachelor's degree
· Qualified CISA or QiCA IT auditor preferred
· A background in documentation, review and application of IT controls is required, as well as the communication skills and credibility to work in a small Internal Control team with direct exposure to senior management
· An understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 (IT General and Application Controls) and COBIT.
· Excellent MS Word, MS Excel and ideally MS Visio skills required
