ISO 9001/AS9100 QA Specialist

Key Role: Perform as a team lead and senior subject matter expert in establishing AS9100-compliant quality management systems within the enterprise and as an external consulting service. Plan, coordinate, and direct project-level quality assurance and quality management programs that effectively sustain compliance with the organizational and client-specific policies and procedures. Develop, implement, and coordinate the project's product and process assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in products. Review project documentation to ensure compliance with documentation standards and applicable client standards and regulations. Lead reviews and audits conducted to ensure processes and practices are compliant with the standards of each specific client. Interact with all project personnel, including the program director, project manager, and other team leads to manage process implementation.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with analyzing requirements, auditing processes and products, and participating in code reviews and design walkthroughs

-5+ years of experience in a lead role applying AS9100 in a consulting environment

-5+ years of experience with the technical aspects of software or product development, life-cycle phases, and methodologies

-Experience with directly leading teams through the AS9100 certification process successfully required

-Knowledge of the aerospace industry

-Certified AS9100 Lead Auditor

-BA or BS degree



Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of contemporary manufacturing practices a plus

-Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment

-Ability to learn new software tools, techniques, and methodologies

-Ability to work in a CMMI Maturity Level III-compliant environment

-PMP Certification a plus
