Head-Test Developt Projects
Basic Functions and Responsibilities: **Exempt**For large-scale test development projects, ESE?s Project Leads have the responsibility for:
Clearly defining the test development scope of work, building and maintaining test development schedules ? both high-level external schedules and detailed internal schedules, and integrating them with the overall program schedule, developing and monitoring program test development budgets, serving as the client interface for test development issues, overseeing the units and staff responsible for content-related products, reporting on test development status, participating in client meetings and internal team meetings, providing consultation services and materials to clients on item and test development procedures, and participating in development of proposals and change orders.In a matrix model, a Project Lead is responsible for oversight of the work performed by various units and project team members for content-related project tasks. The Project Lead is responsible for delivering program materials, meeting deadlines and quality standards for content-related job tasks, whether the tasks are performed by in-house ESE staff, subcontractors, or external consultants.Job tasks over which Project Leads exercise oversight, as needed for a specific program, include:
Tasks related to Item and Test Development Analysis of client?s curricular standards as the basis for the assessments Development of and consultation on test blueprints and specificationsDevelopment of and consultation on score reporting domains and clusters Development of the program?s item writing guidelines, style guidelines, and item specifications Development of items Development of scoring rubrics for open-ended/performance items Review of item statistics from pilot or field testing Maintenance and inventorying of item banks Construction of test forms Production of test forms Production of adapted forms (such as Braille, large print, and audio versions) Client review and sign off of test forms Sign off on production bluelines for test forms Sign off on answer documents Development of test keys and all coding (Form Planners) Client sign off of test keys Performing key checks (verification) following test administrations Review of item and test form statistics following test administrations Tasks related to Development of Ancillary Materials Development of content-related text for program brochures Development and production of Directions for Test Administration or Examiner?s Manuals Development and production of publications such as Test Specifications and Item Specifications Development of publications such as Practice Tests and Released Item Booklets Development of content-related components of Technical Manuals Development of content-related components for Score Interpretation Manuals Tasks related to Client Meetings Content-related client committee meetings may include: Test Specifications Meetings, Item Writer Training Workshops, Item Reviews, Bias and Sensitivity Reviews, Data Review, Test Form Reviews, Standards Settings, and possibly Range Finding Meetings and Teacher Training Workshops Development of all materials needed for content-related components of client meetings including training presentations, task-related committee forms, background materials, items and/or test forms, and meeting evaluation forms Presentation of introductory and training components of client meetings Facilitation of or participation in all content-related client meetings In-direct supervision of and assistance for all content staff facilitating or attending client meetings ETS liaison with client for all general content-related issues.Apply Info: Internal:Please send cover letter and resume to Denise Santoro at MailStop 02-D or e-mail to [Click here for email]. REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA required; MA preferredExperience: Three to five years of equivalent job experience.
