GCU US - Payments Test Analyst

By combining your talent and our strengths, we can acheive great results.UBS is replacing the current USD cash payment system through which we process approx. 200 billion on a daily basis, by a payment system centrally developed in Zurich, Switzerland by the UBS division WMBB (Wealth Management Business Banking); some more technical components complimenting the new architecture were developed by the UBS Investment Bank London team. The new payment application is called SSP payment engine which is based on a three-tier architecture combined with mainframe. The generic US payment flow consists of incoming SWIFT payment messages (e.g. MT103, 202) or incoming FED (e.g. 10) and CHIPS messages (e.g. 10, 31) routed by the component called “message broker” to the payment engine. The SSP system is broken down in a multitude of payment components which are specialized applications to take care of a specific functionality within the large payment low. This test team’s responsibility will be the Impact analysis of future functionality with regard to existing functions business process flows – Operations, Trade processing, Wealth Management Clients other UBS applications (approx. 10) The test analysts will be responsible for the execution of all planned Testing activities for Release 1. across the Payments implementation globally (Release 1.0). The test phases encompass Regression End-to-End Volume and Performance User Acceptance Testing
Preferred Qualifications:Specific responsibilities will include:? Contribute to the test approach for a specific test activity Understand the full payment process flow from a business perspective Understand the full payment process flow from an architecture/ IT perspective Understand the functionality of each payment component Build test cases with detailed test steps for the functionality that is to be tested Execute the test cases by following the message flow through the components, taking screen shots and documenting the findings Analysis if “expected” results deviates from “realized” results Enter defects into Test Director or QTP with the corresponding defect documentation Work closely with other test team members to ensure that test cases that are dependent on each other are executed correctly Planning and managing tasks independently and simultaneously working towards the testing goal Liaise with technology and business representatives globally (primarily Zurich, London and Stamford), to obtain clarification on functionality Expectations of the candidate: In-depth knowledge and hands-on testing experience for the regression, E2E and UAT test phases – 3 years minimum Expertise in writing test cases with detailed test steps either by understanding the process and/ or reading through functional requirements or talking to functional experts Expertise in test results analysis Expertise in defect documentation Work experience as a tester in the cash payment and clearing area, therefore knowing the SWIFT messages types MT103, 202, 900, 910, x99, 210, etc. FED types 10, 15, etc. CHIPS types 10, 31, etc. and its processing Expert knowledge of the Mercury Test tool suite (e.g. Test Director, QTP, etc.) Pearl scripting, Unix exposure, SQL query or DB2 Analytical thinking - Experienced in performing analysis of the test findings leading to either raising defects or understanding that the expected results are in line with the functionality Quick learner and able to connect the dots Detail-oriented and aggressive in problem resolution and still able to reconcile details back to the big picture Confident and articulate Self-motivated, takes pride in her/his work with a structured and well organised approach Ability to establish good working relationships Investment banking working experience Able to operate in a local team that liaises closely with teams outside of the US Used to deliver assignments on time Experience in documenting test documentation Keep positive and firm attitude under pressure German language (written and spoken) a PlusWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.If you are attracted to joining an organization where every individual’s contribution counts and where your talent will impact on our future, please apply for this position. Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Information technology, engineering, business administration or other relevant knowledge for the position
