Director of Quality Management (FT Days)

The Director of Quality Management directs multiple facility-wide functions including performance improvement, patient safety and regulatory compliance. The tasks and responsibilities include:



Administers the hospital's Quality and Patient Safety programs

Provides consultation and education for the management and hospital staff regarding the above aspects of Quality Management

Serves as the hospital's Patient Safety Officer

Coordinates JCAHO and other regulatory compliance

Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services REQUIREMENTS


Job qualifications and requirements include:Current licensure as an RN Masters Degree in a healthcare related field, PhD preferred CPHQ preferred Must have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in quality management Comfortable and skilled at working with physicians, health care providers and other stakeholders in the organization. Capable of gaining immediate credibility with individuals through experience, presentation, communication skills, empathy and compassion Analytical skills including a working knowledge of basic statistics and statistical analysis methodologies Ability to work independently and interdependently Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements Experience with the Malcolm Balridge national quality program a plus
