PricewaterhouseCoopers, the largest professional services firm in the world, currently has several openings in its Washington Federal Practice for professionals to work in its Data Management Group.The Manager will be responsible for data analysis on various platforms, coordinating and directing the coding efforts of staff, documentation and testing, and managing projects from pre-sales and initial scoping through final delivery and sign-off. Must understand major business cycles (purchases, sales, etc.) to be able to design appropriate data analysis tests in order to articulate results to the client.Data Analysis: The Data Management group specializes in the extraction, analysis, and reporting of business data to provide more inclusive or in-depth views of information, normally unavailable through standard reporting methods. This includes building data accumulation, analysis and reporting engines that facilitate decision making processes within financial system and other audits, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, corporate re-organizations, and other types of data intensive evaluation projects.Data Quality: A structured approach toward defining, assessing, improving, and sustaining high levels of quality within key client datasets and systems. Also encompasses the definition of appropriate data processing roles and stewardship within an organization, working to ensure that data quality is not a one-time event, but rather is managed as a continuous process.Tactical Development: The Data Management group also creates stand-alone databases, applications, and other highly-targeted analytical environments. These business intelligence solutions provide clients a means of monitoring key business performance and facilitating effective reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
A B.S. degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or highly related Business major is required. CPA (or in process of achieving) is required.Essential Requirements:
Candidates should possess accounting and/or auditing experience with a Big 4 accounting/audit firm or equivalent and should have their CPA. Candidates should also have the desire to learn and direct others' programming skills, which will be used to code tests defined collaboratively with the audit team. Must possess excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and be able to work with the audit team to analyze data results and create ad-hoc reports upon request. In addition the Senior Associate [again change to Manager in both reqs] will research problems/issues and develop effective solutions.Experience leading others, working independently in an internal and external client service capacity, and scoping/executing high quality deliverables are a must. Knowledge of ACL, Monarch, and Access is a plus. Willingness to learn how to resolve data logic issues and modify data analysis techniques is a plus.US citizenship or permanent residency required. Experience in working with the federal government is a plus, but not required. Federal security clearances is a plus, but not required.
