DIRECTOR OF R&D/ QC (Chemical Products)

Our client, a leading manufacturer of personal care and cosmetic products, is seeking an experienced individual to oversee and manage their quality control and R&D organizations. They are looking for a proven effective leader to spearhead the development of new products and new technologies. This position will also oversee the development and implementation of quality control standards and procedures.

This position is located in central Illinois.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Lead the development of new products and new technologies
Direct the development and improvement of all formulations and technologies, including private label, contract production, and proprietary products.
Oversee the development and implementation of procedures and standards for quality assurance.
Develop and implement protocols for continuous improvement of product quality, including testing and inspection procedures and standards.
Lead cost reduction programs, and identify opportunities for increases in efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations, including FDA and ATF.
REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in Chemistry or related discipline. Knowledge of biology desired.
5+ years experience in product development
5+ years management experience.
Knowledge of FDA and ATF regulations
