It is the policy of CHRISTUS Health not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, gender, orientation, disability, age or national origin.Work Schedule: M-FAverage Hours Per Week: 40+Travel Involved: 21-30%Job Type: Full Time Relocation package offered:Category: ManagementJob Description: The Director of Quality for non-acute care is responsible for the development of quality improvement and patient safety programs in the non-acute care settings which are aligned with acute care to provide a seamless continuum of care for patients, families and communitiesThe quality and patient safety improvement program includes, but is not limited to: resource development and oversight of data mining for quality indicators and metrics, multiple models of statistical and descriptive analysis and reporting to CHRISTUS Health leadership. This position provides leadership and direction for System and facility level for clinical quality and patient safety outcomes reporting across the continuum of care, as well as the creation on unique analysis and reporting as requested by the President and CEO or CMO. This position participates in the system-wide Patient Safety Council and provides clinical expertise and leadership for an interdisciplinary integration of efforts.As part of the movement to an electronic medical record, this position will support efforts to transition this to the non-acute setting as time and resources allow.This position also provides consultative services to CHRISTUS’ System and regions for issues and programs related to improving patient safety and clinical quality in the non-acute setting. The customers/end users of this support service include the CHRISTUS Health Quality Management committee, system senior leadership, region and facility leadership teams, physicians, (inpatient, outpatient and ancillary services utilization), clinical services operations executives, medical management executives and operational units, and physician service executives, as well as community leaders. This director will coordinate the design, development and production of standard and ad hoc management, quality and patient safety reports, yielding information on system, region, and facility performance. This position will serve to identify and promote organizational best practices and evidence based medical guidelines. REQUIREMENTS
Skills: Masters Degree required
Experience in operations in a non-acute care setting.
Ability to motivate and manage under the influential model
Strong research and writing skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledgeable of clinical information systems
Strong knowledge of clinical care processes across all clinical and support disciplines in the continuum of care.
Knowledgeable of community resources and government programsB. Experience
Five (5) to seven (7) years of managerial experience in a health care setting, preferably with ties to community services and resources
Expert in study design and implementation.
Understands the concept of evidenced based care delivery.C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
RN if applicable and other designations as appropriate to position.
