CCP Pricing Manager

This role is responsible for managing a team of analysts to develop and maintain portfolio risk pricing initiatives within the Risk Management Department. Pricing is a critical area of the business for optimizing receivables and revenues. The role requires a highly proficient ability to work closely with business partners, understand and forecast the consequences of pricing actions, and provide recommendations to management.
The Risk Management function is undergoing significant change and expansion. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to play a key role in this process. The role offers a significant and challenging environment for the right person to apply existing skills in a creative manner. It also provides extensive opportunities to further develop a broad range of Risk Management capabilities within a large-scale credit card environment.Effectively develop and manage a team of analysts.Act as the principal Risk Management lead with Marketing and Finance functions in inter-department pricing projects.
Present findings and recommendations with supporting data to business partners and senior management.
Initiate, develop, and implement a range of portfolio pricing strategies using data mining techniques and statistical methodologies to maximize business return ensuring that key business factors are understood and measured e.g. impact on usage, revenue and risk.
Perform data analysis, including data collection and SAS programming, to identify pricing eligible populations and quantify price sensitivities within these populations.
Create and run an effective range of segmentation, champion/challenger programs, and experimental designs in a fully controlled environment.
Establish and maintain effective risk pricing performance tracking ensuring that strategies are performing as expected and feeding back findings into strategy and/or policy changes in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience in people and project management.
Experience of credit card risk based and default pricing required.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in portfolio risk management within a credit card environment.
Solid understanding of portfolio dynamics to determine profitability, loss, and attrition interrelationships.
Strong background in data analysis in support of business strategies.
Extensive SAS programming skills, preferably in Unix environment.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage people and projects.
Ability to represent Risk Management to work closely with business partners in Marketing and Finance on inter-department projects.
Ability to work under own initiative with ability to set priorities and deliver quality results in a deadline driven environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to translate analysis into clearly defined and supportable strategies / policies.
The candidate will demonstrate a high level of inquisitiveness, initiative and critical thinking to formulate the above mentioned business issues into analytical problems and devise actionable solutions.
Bachelor degree required
DESIRED SKILLS:
Master or Ph. D. degree in quantitative disciplines (economics, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, etc.) preferred.
