Air Quality Specialist

We are looking for a professional to come in and make an impact as a vital member of our team. This position is located in our Pasadena office. Responsibilities include planning, conducting, and coordinating work that requires judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria; devises new approaches to problems encountered; independently performs most assignments under general instructions; has some latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity. The successful candidate will plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of air quality studies or investigations as part of a major project or in a total project o
f moderate scope; studies broad concepts of a project or program to determine scientific or engineering approaches that will accomplish project requirements, develops and/or supervises development of field sampling plans and supervises implementation of investigation programs; studies test data to determine causal relationships, assisting in monitoring effectiveness and results of technical projects; provides technical phases of proposals for new business and presentations new clients. The candidate will be responsible for contacting vendors to discuss processes or materials requirements, participating in selection of suppliers, and pricing; develops evaluation techniques; prepares and integrates data leading to preliminary and final reports; will be able to resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a professional manner; will be able to complete work with minimal supervision. REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably within an engineering consulting firm.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
