Supply Chain Procurement Buyer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The primary role of the Supply Chain Procurement Buyer (SCPB) is to source components and materials which will support Alienware's initiative taking into consideration the highest quality material, at the lowest cost with the best lead times.
- The SCPB will work directly with Product Engineering and Marketing Departments to better understand the needs and requirements related to new product launches.
- Develop new and maintain existing vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing and material delivery time.
- Implement strategic procurement initiatives.
- Prepare and submit RFQs (request for quotations)
- Place material P.O.s
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly run rates.
REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate Degree in Business or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years procurement work experience.
- Strong knowledge of PC and technology markets.
- Excellent planning and communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of procurement practices, terms, negotiation concepts and business law.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft, Excel and Navision.
