Responsibilities:
The candidate will manage a portfolio of service categories. He/she will manage spend ranging between $51 million and $150 million. The incumbent will develop and manage source plans for assigned spend categories by leading cross-functional teams to develop value-enabling sourcing strategies. He/she will define, understand and analyze business needs for materials, services and supply market information. The candidate will generate and analyze innovative sourcing options, building sourcing strategies to maximize value and manage supply risk to ensure that internal stakeholders’ requirements are met. He/she will ensure third party alignment, capacity and support for existing and future GNE requirements. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Global Procurement Services team to ensure the alignment of transactions to the agreed sourcing strategies. He/she will collaborate with other enterprise-wide team members to provide input to other category source plans and ensure alignment of goals and priorities. The incumbent will maximize opportunities to leverage spend and participate in Roche category teams. He/she will utilize Strategic Procurement Council, ISM and related industry associations to identify and benchmark best practices. The candidate will provide growth opportunities to small business concerns and increase overall awareness to stakeholders. He/she will ensure that sourcing activity for personal spend/cost portfolio complies with Sarbanes Oxley.
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must have a degree and possess CPM certification or equivalent. He/she must have experience in establishing and building successful supplier relationships, as well as controlling significant direct/indirect spend. The incumbent must utilize strategic Procurement thinking and possess strong relationship building skills. He/she must be commercially aware with experience in multiple business sectors, as well as display a high level of motivation and act with a great sense of urgency. The candidate must display excellent communication and influencing skills, demonstrate resourcefulness and versatility and possess risk and financial modeling skills. He/she must support the vision and strategy of the clients and show dedication to meeting stakeholder expectations. The incumbent must have the ability to execute plans and communicate decisions in an effective and timely manner. He/she must be highly effective at initiating and leading cross-functional teams, building cross-functional relationships and developing cross-functional understanding. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to creatively resolve issues. Technical proficiency with appropriate Procurement systems and tools is essential.
