Strategic Sourcing Analyst

This job has the responsibilities for performing detailed global spend analyses, managing sourcing project long range plan, perform category specific research and developing project reports for use in strategic sourcing projects. Additionally, this position will manage various financial processes including determining project outputs (hard and soft savings, productivity improvements, material price deviations), implementation impacts, division Controller updates, rebate / supplier check dispositoning, and LBE projections. The position will have the authority to update systems, assemble detailed spend analyses from various global locations, upddate Sr. level financial personnel, issue reports (up to CFO), and modify long range project plans based on various analyses and research.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.1) Conduct detailed spend analysis on key categories of spend globally.2) Conduct comprehensive market research on particular supply markets3) Perform contract reviews by Abbott site and prepare detailed reports outlining Abbott's commitments4) Update Abbott systems to reflect appropriate spends, strategies, and contractual obligations5) Be the resident expert on all electronic system applications such as P.I.N. & AbbottSource6) Manage all financial processes associated with savings / project activities for Sr. level communications.Qualifications
This position should have a minimum of 4 years in Purchasing / Sourcing related experience. Additionally, the position should have a minimum of 6 years general business with 2 years concentration in IT and / or Finance.
BA / BS required. Finance degree preferred.
