This person should be involved at the early stage of identifying an internal requirement, while driving the process of strategic sourcing throughout the company. The SCM will also manage all aspects of the relationships with Suppliers. Specifically, the SCM will provide leadership and strategic plans for the analysis, sourcing, implementation, financial accounting and controls of assigned commodities. The SCM will provide analysis and support for business decision-making, and ensure risk is mitigated, and optimized total delivered cost is achieved. SCM will capitalize on opportunities for savings based on the consolidation of spend, increased efficiencies, and economies of scale both for the company and for our suppliers.Additional responsibilities include: identify, evaluate and prioritize sourcing opportunities in alignment with financial objectives; identifies and pursues involvement in areas within the company in which the Strategic Sourcing organization can add value; partners with Finance to establish and track annual budgets in all areas of responsibility; directs proper process approvals and ensures financial controls are in place to minimize risk for the company; communicates recommendations and strategic information to cross-functional areas within the company; and directs the implementation of systems, technology and controls to improve efficiency and manage spend for a set of commodities.Qualified candidates must have Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, finance, MIS, or related discipline; MBA preferred with at least five plus years in strategic sourcing/commodity management.. Additional requirements include: expert knowledge of sourcing and financial accounting strategies; understanding of IT Services Business and the corresponding external spend categories (IT Hardware, Software, Contract Labor, Telecommunications, etc.); ability to manage diverse company initiatives and complex business issues; excellent influencing skills and ability to develop and maintain good relationships; and excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to interpret data quickly and elevate potential issues to appropriate level of review. Willingness to travel 20% is a must.
