Sr. Buyer/Planner

Sr. Buyer/Planner responsible for acquisition of materials and resources
Experience Requirements/Expectations:

Ability to work within a fast paced manufacturing environment

Demonstrate “sense of urgency” in support of factory requirements

Knowledge of kanban development and implementation

Proven track record of inventory reductions

Ability to work with suppliers to improve overall performance

Able to work internally and with suppliers on shipping and receiving issues.

Interface with Accounts Payable on payments, price discrepancies, etc.

Participate on new product teams, ensuring support of new parts and new suppliers.

Experience working within an MRP system.

Working knowledge of multiple commodities and compressor manufacturing

Experience in part qualification

Ability to work with Supplier Quality, Engineering and Sourcing staff to develop strategic supplier and commodity plans.

Technical knowledge of blueprints, engineering requirements and industry standards.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with all levels of the organization and external supplier/customers.

Skilled with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Word.
