Rocklin CA, Somerville, TN, St. Paul, MN and Kunshan, China.About This JobGeneral Summary:Purchase parts and materials as needed to support Greenheck's manufacturing schedule, at the lowest cost from quality vendor partners. This position will focus specifically on electrical motors and special design requests associated with electrical motors.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement of materials and/or component parts in a timely manner to meet the company production schedule. Provide assistance to sales with price quotations on special motor requirements. Place orders and schedule deliveries on a daily basis. Make motor selection decisions. Standard product versus special designs. Negotiate pricing to obtain quality items at the lowest possible price. Coordinate with production scheduling sales and engineering departments to obtain information, resolve problems and identify purchasing requirements for new or redesigned products. Meet with vendors to negotiate favorable pricing and build long-term vendor partnerships. Identify and develop alternate sources of supply for key parts and materials. Maintain knowledge of and inform other departments of new developments in material, equipment and techniques. Update motor system with requests by marketing, sales and international for new products and applications. Maintain the motor database Maintain quality standards and resolve problems related to unsatisfactory materials received. REQUIREMENTS
4 year college degree required. 1 to 3 years of work experience. Electric Motor, Electronic, or Electrical purchasing experience preferred. Analytical ability required. Good written and verbal communication skills, tactful, and detail oriented.
