REQUIREMENTS
The Manager of Indirect Materials and Services will lead the supply management activities for all Indirect Materials and Services and will seek to achieve year-over-year improvement in total cost of ownership, quality and service. This position requires a close working relationship and collaboration with the global business unit leadership, business unit customers, purchasing professionals and suppliers in strategy formulation, supplier selection, management and development.Scope:
Responsible for all Indirect Materials and Services Strategic Sourcing.This position will be responsible for $50 million in annual spend.
Essential Functions:
Provide direction for business unit operations globally to co-develop common global strategic sourcing strategies for Indirect Materials and Services.Lead/Champion cross company sourcing effectiveness in Indirect Materials and Services to achieve year-over-year improvement in total cost of ownership, quality, and service.Based on the sourcing strategy and TCO model, the Manager will structure, negotiate and secure agreements with selected Indirect Materials and Services suppliers on behalf of all Company business units.Drive the successful implementation of Indirect Materials and Services strategies.Develop, implement and manage automated order fulfillment process.Foster and facilitate cost savings idea generation in Indirect Materials and Services.
Communicate critical supplier performance issues on an on-going basis to procurement and business leadership
Key organizational relationships:
The Manager must provide strategic and tactical guidance for all Indirect Materials and Services sourcing activities, ensuring sourcing objectives are consistent with overall company objectives and follow best practices observed both within the company. and the industry.
Business unit purchasing leadership will work closely with the Manager to collect and synthesize key performance metrics for Indirect Materials and Services.Education and Experience Requirements:
5-7 years of experience working in strategic sourcing, manufacturing and/or industrial environment; with at least 2 years as a Strategic Sourcing Manager with experience in leading global sourcing teams and developing global sourcing processes
Broad knowledge of all Indirect Materials and Services is preferredDemonstrated capability in a similar role requiring strong project management, process development and communication skills
