Service Parts Buyer Planner

SUMMARY STATEMENT: This position is responsible for planning and buying service parts. They also provide customer service with estimated time of delivery for parts that are not in stock.

C.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Maintain Planning Parameters in IFS
·Lead-time
·Reorder Point
·Minimum Order Quantity
·Order Multiple
·Review and adjust forecasts for service parts on Demand Planner
·Maintain Supplier Prices used to generate Purchase Orders
·Analyze Sales History to determine proper stocking levels
·Provide ETP dates to Customer Service
·Expedite Purchase Orders required to fill Customer Orders
·Resolve differences in quantity shipped by supplier and quantity received
·Review and release Purchase Requisitions
·Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders
·Reduce excess inventory
·Request return to supplier
·Transfer to plants to use in production
·Recommend for scrap
·Participate on a multifunctional team to determine stocking quantities for new products

1.Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
2.Computer skills MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS Outlook
3.Working knowledge of Statistics and Forecasting Models
4.Ability to work as part of a multifunctional team
5.Working Knowledge of MRP and MPS in an ERP environment
6.4-Yr Degree in Business or related field
7.3-5 years experience in production planning or scheduling
8.German Language skills would be a plus
