Purpose: Automotive Manufacturing company seeking a Senior Buyer to coordinate supplier relationships and materials purchases.

The Senior Buyer will coordinate all activities related to procurement of materials, from preliminary quoting through delivery. Will solicit RFQ?s and evaluate responses to select the optimum supplier. Will investigate potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified quality, delivery, and cost expectations.

Preferred candidates will have automotive experience, including Toyota Production System, 5S, and JIT. Will have an automotive manufacturing background with sourcing experience including castings, forgings, plastics, stampings, extrusions, and rubber components.

A Bachelors degree is required, preferably within a supply chain or technical discipline. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) status is preferred. A minimum of 5 years actual sourcing experience within a traditional manufacturing environment is required.
