Senior Buyer/Planner

Distributing Warehouse/Importer of Home Improvement Products has a current opening for a SENIOR BUYER/PLANNER. This position would report to the Director of Global Logistics. Responsibilities are supplier selection, negotiation, order placement and supplier performance metrics. This position would manage inventory levels, delivery schedules and availability of goods, maintain planning perimeters in support of customer schedule requirements. Requirements would be advanced knowledge of Excel and Word, principals and practices of Material and Supply Chain, ability to reason and ID strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions to problems. AS400 experience and Forecast/Demand Planner skills are definitely a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Advanced knowledge in Excel and Word. AS400 experience a plus. Knowledge of Materials/Supply Chain principles and practices. Ability to use logic and reason, forecasting and demand planning skills. Self motivated individual with a professional attitude. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize based on changing requirements.
