Senior Buyer - Biomedical Research

Our client is committed to providing superior solutions for biomedical research, agricultural applications, molecular medicine and non-invasive prenatal diagnostics research, and potentially, clinical utility.



They currently have an IMMEDIATE opening for a Senior Buyer. This individual will coordinate purchasing activities and be responsible for obtaining materials, scientific equipment and services as well as office and business supplies.



Essential responsibilities of this position include:

Purchase materials using a computer based MRP system
Negotiate the prices terms and conditions with vendors and participate in selecting the supplies
Implement and executer strategies for cost reduction
Initiate and administer supply contracts with suppliers
Will second source materials using support from internal departments
Implement and maintain a supplier development program
Work on purchasing problems of diverse scope
Working on purchasing problems requiring analysis of identifiable factors


The ideal candidate will communicate in a timely and professional manner and be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.



To be successful in this role the candidate will bring the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
5-8 years working in purchasing using computer based NRP system
Be familiar with cGMP and ISO standards
Possess strong negotiating skills
Strong computer skills
