Senior Buyer

A client with 20%+ growing revenues, and global leadership in their core markets, has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer at their flagship manufacturing plant. You will be the key contact with suppliers and be the interface between the maintenance/operations/engineering groups at the plant and the suppliers of goods needed by those groups. You will insure that all supplies needed for those groups are provided in the most cost effective and efficient manner by developing and implementing a purchase strategy that incorporates contracts, purchasing tools, and supplier management techniques. My client offers excellent career growth opportunities into a higher level plant role or corporate role in the purchasing/supply chain discipline. Salary range is $65-85K base. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required with5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience purchasing supplies for the engineering/maintenance/operations groups at a manufacturing plant is required. Experience in chemical/polymer manufacturing would be a plus.
