Senior Buyer

Purpose:
Our client, a large medical center, is looking for a Senior Purchaser. This person will be responsible for purchasing large medical equipment as well as project management.

As a Senior Buyer, day to day duties will include, but are not limited to, implementing standardization and cost saving programs, assisting customers, reviewing accuracy of receiving and invoicing, maintaining computers files, and maintaining positive working relationships with customer and staff while demonstrating good customer service.

To be qualified for this position, individuals should have a four year degree (Business or Accounting/Finance preferred) or equivalent experience, at least 3-5 years purchasing/buying experience and strong managerial background. Necessary skills include leadership, teamwork, Microsoft Office applications, GroupWise and spreadsheet usage; excelling in financial management, budgeting, and decision-making.
