Purshasing Associate (Entry Level)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Contact Mills for Order Status.

Expedite items upon request.

Update Order due dates in Stelplan, weekly.

Maintain purchase order files, including order documentation and archiving non-current files.

Update bill of ladings into Stelplan and make copies for appropriate personnel.

Maintain premium freight log.

Inform personnel of mill lead times.

Maintain freight for rail and truck.

Update open purchase order files end of month report.

Make copies of mill certificates and give copy to the receiving department.

Send needed order documents to Greenville office.

Make Transfer Orders for Mill reject material, reconcile and file.

All departmental filing and make appropriate copies if needed.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school or GED. 1 year work experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to deal effectively with unexpected problems as they occur.
