Purchasing Specialist

Employment Type: Regular Full/Part Time: Full Time Division: IT Location: 580 BUILDING, CINCINNATI, OHGENERAL FUNCTION:
Working independently, audits and processes complex communication invoices and other computerized bills. Prepares billing file to bill customers for equipment and communication expenses. Assumes responsibility for individual projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using PC based software, prepare invoices in a timely manner and ensure timely reimbursement.

Ensure that all necessary information and proper documentation are provided. Responsible for interpreting various billing contracts and implementing changes in the billing system.

Use and create spreadsheets and other databases to research and compile data.

Coordinate collection activities to delinquent accounts in order to receive overdue payments and return accounts to current payment status.

Respond to the most complex customer inquiries regarding account status.

Perform periodic audits, making adjustments and resolving discrepancies.

Monitor monthly invoices for variances in transaction volume.

Responsible for full life cycle of assigned projects.

Mentor and/or train Billing Specialist I and II's.

Perform any other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None Job RequirementsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong computer proficiency with word processing, database management and spreadsheet applications.

Four (4) or more years billing experience preferred.

Prior communication billing and accounting experience preferred.

Knowledge of Fifth Third in-house billing functions a plus. E.O.E., M/F/D/V
