Purchasing/Procurement Co-op, Kohler Rental PowerObjective:Support the Operations department through the purchasing aspect while providing the college student with real world knowledge and experience. Starting full or part time in November 2006 and working full time starting in January through May 2007.Basic Function:Will be responsible for analytical reporting and maintenance of procedures related to SAP purchasing and customer files.Specific Responsibilities:Assist in the analysis of daily KRP operation of the SAP purchasing system.Assist in the buyer activities for all Rental Power purchasing transactions and mentor all other KRP associates in their day to day purchasing activities.Assist the Product Manager and regional buyers in researching, selecting and negotiating with suppliers for new capital equipment and associated products.Obtain, analyze and track purchase orders for items, services and quotes from multiple vendors for modifications to equipment as needed by the National Service Manager.Assist in resolving supply issues while proactively recommending and driving improvement activities to avoid reoccurrence.Responsible for analyzing, administering and maintaining the customer database for Rental Power in its entirety.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Responsibility for compliance with all company safety, health and environmental policies to ensure a safe work environment for you, your co-workers, the environment and the community. This includes but is not limited to attending mandatory safety training, reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or environmental exposures.
REQUIREMENTS
