Purchasing Manager

Purpose:
Our client, a large government integrator, is searching for a purchasing manager.

They are looking for a Purchasing Manager who will be primarily responsible for administration and management of all purchasing activities for four business units (Managed Services & Solutions, Engineering & Management Services, Global Mission Solutions and IT Solutions & Services business units) within the Enterprise IT Solutions Division (EISD).

Under limited supervision, is responsible for purchasing program related commodities or services (i.e., hardware, software, aftermarket spares, facilities supplies and labor services) for the business unit. Performs RFQ preparation, evaluates proposals to determine best value suppliers, performs price and cost analysis, and conducts supplier cost and terms negotiations. Selects and recommends suppliers for facilities and production requirements. Ensures supplier?s performance meets cost, delivery & quality Program and Business Objectives. Ability to develop supplier cost and delivery plans and corrective action plans as needed. Establish and manage Supplier Long Term Pricing Agreements for parts assigned. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and to find solutions to particular problems and sourcing issues.
Assists with problem resolution and provides strategic guidance to senior management as required.Classification:Direct PlacementCompensation:
