Purchasing Manager

Come and see what we are all about!POSITION DESCRIPTION: As our Purchasing Manager, you will be charged with helping us to take Supply Chain Management to a world class level. This is a tremendous opportunity to come is drive the supply chain to a level it has never been at. Establish supplier metrics, build a supplier council, and use SAP to drive it home. Identify supply chain cost drivers, reduce cost, and improve margins. We are a large division of an even larger corporation, and this position is perfect for someone that wants to come in and partner with a Director level supply Chain individual to accomplish these objectives. Travel will be up to 40% including some international travel. There are no direct reports in this position, but you will work with an international, cross functional team. More details of this position will be revealed once it is determined that a candidate is qualified for the position. There is a bonus on top of the salary quoted for this position. REQUIREMENTS
You must have a four year degree and at least three years experience in a similar role for manufacturing. MBA helpful but not required. SAP experience highly desired but also not a requirement. You must be able to give solid examples of supply chain 'wins', showing examples of process improvement in supply chain management role. You must have very good negotiation skills, understand value engineering and value analysis techniques, and completely understand how procurement, planning, production, and manufacturing work together to accomplish supply chain goals because you've been a part of it's success. You must have excellent interpersonal skills.
