Product Specialist

Primary Duties

Purchases all items in an assigned class of products applying ethical standards in every transaction. Maintains excellent time management to ensure proper inventory levels on stock items and negotiates best value for products. Explore and develop new vendors. Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and technology and perform other duties as related or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 3-5 years on-the-job experience in purchasing of steel or related products, proven negotiation skills and technical knowledge of steel and steel applications. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Excellent negotiation, mathematical, interpersonal and telephone skills required.
