Position Profile: Candidate will be responsible for negotiating for and purchasing of materials, equipment, services, and supplies in a custom manufacturing environment for MRO and project requirements. Manage cost reduction program for assigned commodities. Develop and maintain vendor relations to ensure the most effective supply. Work with engineering and QA to ensure optimum material specifications. Will apply basic and advanced knowledge of the purchasing function. Utilize Bill of Materials, dimensional drawings, and requisitions to obtain material requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience is preferred. Previous experience/knowledge of MRO purchasing in manufacturing with specific experience with fiberglass chemicals and materials, flexible hose systems, fasteners, and analytical instrumentation is desirable. Experience with JD Edwards Business System is a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
