Location: Augusta, GAJob Summary:
A Procurement Specialist strategically plans, organizes and facilitates the strategic acquisition of materials and services needed to support the various E-Z-GO departments. This Procurement Specialist must clarify E-Z-GO expectations, perform market and competitive analysis, and then develop and implement the appropriate supply strategy and internal process improvements necessary to maximize value from the acquisition.Responsibilities to Include:
Collaborate with ISC Strategic Sourcing on procurement and negotiation strategy relating to new product introductions, supplier selection, contract implementation, and transitioning supply base.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for direct to service items.
Screen and select potential suppliers through a Request For Proposal and/ or other processes.
Assist in locating and evaluating potential suppliers in support of Marketing initiatives.
Lead cross functional, fact based negotiations with service only suppliers.
Initiate corrective actions with suppliers to improve contract compliance.
Lead supplier development activities for service only suppliers; set up cross functional review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce cost.
Initiate and conduct supplier audits, and identify potential contract improvement opportunities & re-negotiations.
Manage all day to day tactical aspects of supplier relationships.
Support planners for expediting.
Gather and provide critical information essential to vendor and item set up/maintenance.
With proper approval, issue POs for new items, to new vendors and for new programs to insure smooth execution/implementation and hand off to Planners.
Understand and communicate timing issues to all constituents as it relates to serving customer deadlines/expectations.
Ensure that sales and marketing are up to speed on supplier capabilities.
Assist Product Engineering, QA, and Product Mgt in product evaluation and assessment including gathering samples and product specs from suppliers.
Assist in re-quote process, daily communication with suppliers, and resolving invoice discrepancies.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS in Business, a technical field or a related field.Position Requirements:
Experience in supply source management including supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
Prefer service parts experience with OE equipment manufacturer.
Strong computer skills - Word, Excel, Access, MS Outlook.License and Certification Requirements:
