Procurement Manager

The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Procurement Manager for a Large Dairy Manufacturing Facility located in the Mid West.
Purpose of Position:
The procurement manager will have responsibility to purchase dairy based powders and ingredients for use within the Manufacturing Plants. The procurement manager will assist the General Manager for Milk Procurement in representing The Company to the organizations that supply raw milk to the dairy plants. The manager will assist in representing The Company to the federal and state governmental agencies that establish the regulation used to price raw milk. Will aid the Risk Manager in analyzing dairy commodity markets to determine hedging and forward pricing opportunities.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
1.Establishes department objectives, and business processes.
2.Communicates with all levels of management, including senior management, regarding programs and initiatives that concern milk and dairy products.
3.Maintains frequent contacts with suppliers and potential suppliers in order
to keep informed regarding industry developments.
4.Manages bid process to include research, qualification, supplier negotiations, and selection for dairy powder and ingredients. Coordinates and facilitates any supplier and/or material changes with using plants. Annual expenditures may exceed $50,000,000.
5.Coordinates supplier plant visits and process audits.
6.Facilitates communications between plants and suppliers. Facilitates supplier development and improvement.
7.Assists General Manager of Milk Procurement with Raw Milk Audits.
8.Regular attendance to the office when not traveling.
