SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: This position supports LMTO's Classified Space Services (CSS) Line of Business at Cape Canaveral, FL. The candidate should have a solid background in supporting manufacturing and assembly operations. This position will have the responsibility for supporting new business pursuit proposals as well as executing Purchase Orders for a variety of materials and services in a shop-floor environment. Requires proven experience soliciting, negotiating and administering various contract types (FFP, FPLOE,Labor Hour, T&M, etc.) for raw materials, fabricated parts build to specification drawings, machining, plating, etc. Additionally, this position will execute FFP commodity procurements and various Purchased Services contracts. Candidate will be responsible for administering the
Purchase Order documents and changes thereto as well as managing the technical performance of certain Suppliers in collaboration with manufacturing and engineering personnel. Position will be responsible for solicitation, analysis and evaluation of supplier proposals and quotations and coordinating technical evaluations when appropriate. Other duties may include local supplier site surveys, proposal
fact-finding, cost/price analysis, and development of well documented PO files. Demonstrated negotiation skills required. Demonstrated negotiation skills required. Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, productive collaboration and communication skills required.
This position supports a decentralized Procurement operation and will operate independantly without on-site Procurement supervision. Position will work closely with on-site manufacturing, engineering, quality control, finance and shop floor peronnel. May be called upon to provide virtual support to Procurement personnel at other geographical locations. Successful candidate must possess working knowledge of Federal Acquistion Regulations. Candidate must function very well with minimal management involvment in a small team environment.
STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION: Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules. Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences. In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s). Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined
education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
