PURCHASING MANAGER

Palram Americas is the international leading manufacturer and supplier of a complete line of high quality polycarbonate and PVC building panels for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. We offer a very nice working environment in our state of the art facility near Fogelsville, Pennsylvania.

In this position you will have full responsibility for all of our purchasing activities. Reporting to our Logistics Manager you will manage and administer all purchasing functions within our US location as well as maintain costs and pricing data. You will serve as our cross trainer as well on purchasing procedures.

Your job functions include compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. You will keep informed of pricing trends in our industry. Daily you will interface with suppliers and internal departments to determine product specifications and need for equipment and materials. You will manage raw and packaging materials, as well as services and supplies necessary for the operation of our company.

REQUIREMENTS
Job requirements:

•Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing
•Experience in a logistics environment strongly desired
•General skills in Microsoft office: Excel and Word, Outlook helpful
•Experience with SAP helpful
•Problem solving abilities
•Strong negotiation abilities
•Detail orientation
•Punctual and reliable
•Positive work attitude and strong work ethics
•Must work well in a team environment
