PURCHASING MANAGER

H2O Plus is a Chicago based product developer, manufacturer and retailer of innovative skin care, spa, bath and fragrance products. We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager for our west loop headquarters.

This position will be responsible for managing the purchasing group, along with creating and building vendor relationships, sourcing vendors and negotiating pricing, resolving any vendor disputes, providing continuous product cost improvement and ensuring the overall performance of the Purchasing Department. This position requires strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and a proven track record of managing product inventory levels and interacting with production scheduling. Global sourcing experience including Asian manufacturing site visits and the ability to strategically plan, budget and develop new process and procedural controls is critical.
REQUIREMENTS
Position requirements include a minimum of 7 years purchasing experience with at least 3+ years in purchasing management; strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills, a Bachelor's degree; and a purchasing/materials management certification is desired. Strong MRP/ERP experience and MS Office proficiency, specifically in Excel, Crystal experience preferred, C-TPAT certification experience is also preferred.
