Job Title: Buyer, Non-Inventory - Allentown, PA





Amazon.com is seeking a Non-Inventory Buyer for our Allentown, PA Fulfillment Center. This Buyer will provide Non-Inventory Procurement services for facilities in PA, VA and NH. Some travel will be required. Amazon.com is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.



Our Non-Inventory Buyer will work with the Operations Procurement Department administering the flow of non-inventory goods including warehouse supplies, office supplies, corrugate, safety equipment, tools, and material handling requests.





Responsibilities:

Coordinating the demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of all non-merchandise items required for the operation of the Forward Deploy Fulfillment Centers;

Developing demand forecast models;

Establishing procurement order streams to match supply with demand on a JIT basis;

Ensuring proper flow and inventory management of non-merchandise items;

Developing metrics to measure operational readiness and inventory performance;

Negotiating and sourcing procurement agreements;

Administering local/national contracts

Resolving payment issues with vendors and accounts payable;

Partnering with internal customers to influence spending decisions.
REQUIREMENTS


Previous related experience required.

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field OR

Minimum of three years' professional experience in a similar role MAY be considered in lieu of the above BA degree;

Must demonstrate analytical abilities, spreadsheet and database skills and competency in contracts and negotiation.
