Merchandising Buyer

National Health Care Uniform Catalog/Web/Retail Company seeks Seasoned Buyer to:

- Negotiate with vendors on availability, product specifications, quality, distribution, delivery deadlines and price to maximize the company's profits
- Build strong rapport with vendors to insure quality and vendor compliance
- Develop compelling and saleable product for catalog/web division by building assortments that address the customers' evolving work lifestyle
- Analyze business to find trends on product patterns and help design products to create exclusive product lines
- Work closely with marketing and design team to develop seasonal line plans and product categories
- Shop retail stores and competitors for styles and pricing for future product development
- Partner and review with Planning department
- Continually review buys to assure proper inventory levels for catalog/web
- Continually review merchandise returns results to maximize quality and minimize returns
- Mentor and coach Assistant Buyer in all areas of the buying position.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 + years buying experience
- Strong Negotiation and communication skills
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
