MAKE AN APPLICATION TO THE ENTRY LEVEL POWER PLANT EXAM NOTICE FOR YOUR PREFERRED LOCATION.Position Summary:Perform activities in all areas of materials handling and control, which include, but not limited to ordering, receiving, packaging, storing, cycle counting, maintenance and issuing materials for power plant operation and maintenance. Must be willing to work extended hours, including alternate shifts to meet plant and customer requirements.Xcel Energy reflects our core value - excellence in energy products and services. REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Training or previous experience in materials logistics or one year of post-secondary education.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Lift truck certification is desired.
6. PC literate desired.Special Requirements
1. Must have successfully passed the Edison Electric Institute Plant Personnel Test.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license.
3. Must be able to work overtime as required.
3. Actively participate in hands-on training, required classroom training and computer interactive training programs, as directed by plant management.
4. Applicant is required to successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug test and security clearance.
5. Other exams, which are required by federal regulations, such as OSHA and DOT, may be performed.Selection criteria may include testing and/or assessment.
