Global Sourcing Specialist

Coordinate direct activities and individuals involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, advertising and other materials associated with the operations of plant operations, field services and Houston tooling.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

*Understand, establish and issue Request for Proposals (RFP) for Balance of Plant (BOP), operations and field service procurements.

*Select suppliers to develop a supplier base.

*Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts.

*Manage contracts for compliance with contract requirements.

*Discuss defective goods and services with inspection and quality control departments, users and vendors to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

*Performance review of suppliers.

*Establish long-term agreements with suppliers.

*Maintain procurement records.

*Provide support to upper management.
REQUIREMENTS
*Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training or a combination.

*Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, engineering drawings and specifications, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers, clients, customers and the general public.

*Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,circumference and volume. Apply concepts of Algebra and Geometry.

*Basic computer skills including electronic email, word processing, spreadsheet and basic database.

*Ability to effectively communicate job tasks, goals and projects to global sourcing staff as well as manage and delegate when necessary.
