Director of Supplier Management

The person selected for this position will be responsible for the following:
Developing and implementing strategies for obtaining product, material and services to support Engineering development and production operations.
Ensuring sourcing strategies support Digital Operations and performing evaluations to achieve Full Potential profit targets, while achieving 100% supplier quality and on-time delivery.
Implementing effective and efficient supplier management and subcontract/procurement administration processes for Engineering and Manufacturing sourcing.
Leading Supplier Improvement Cost Reduction (SICR) initiatives in Digital Operations and with supplier partners.
Developing supplier management professionals with world class skills to be effective account managers for supplier partnerships.
Creating plans and implementing measurement systems to ensure sourcing initiatives meet targeted objectives.
Effectively directing and managing Supplier Management personnel to achieve a cohesive, collaborative team environment with highest levels of professionalism, compliance and ethics.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Ideal candidate must have a Master's degree or Ph.D in an Engineering discipline or Technical Management with over 15 years experience in Engineering or Technical Management in a high tech defense electronics related business.
Extensive experience in supplier management, with increasing levels of responsibility for strategic planning and execution is required along with a broad experience in Engineering and/or Manufacturing functional assignments.
Strong leadership, communication, project/program management and technical skills are a must.
A demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution is essential.
To meet security and export control regulations, this position requires either U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Alien Status.
