Echostar currently has an opening for a Commodity Analyst in our Supply Chain Management Group: Experience with Mechanical Forming and Electronic Assemblies required.


The responsibilities of this role include:



Guide and manage a strategic commodity supply line to achieve product cost targets, continuity of supply, capacity flexibility, and delivery performance to support manufacturing and customer requirements.


Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):
Negotiate strategic material pricing.
Recommend and maintain long term supplier relationships.
Participate as an active member of the product design team.
Recommend sources of technologies needed to develop new products.

Evaluate industry supply trends.
Survey and co-certify supplier manufacturing facilities.The Commodity Analyst will benefit from:

job Requirements


Minimum qualifications to be considered are:
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 6 plus years of buying experience.
SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
