Salary: TBD, depending on experienceJob Summary:
Performs activities associated with the planning and procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment as required by a variety of procurement categories.1. Approves, prepares, and issues detailed MRP II requirements, schedules, manufacturing release orders, and Purchase Order Requests. Initiates and approves Purchase Orders and administers Long Term Agreements and Pricing Agreements as required.2. Develops Requests for Quotations, analyzes supplier responses, and negotiates awards. Negotiates with suppliers to obtain cost savings, economical prices, quantities, delivery dates, and payment terms according to Cessna specifications, production schedules, material requirements, and company policies and procedures.3. Reviews exception reports from the MRP II system and makes corrections as required. Recognizes incipient MRP II problems and contacts appropriate personnel within other organizations to recommend solutions and means by which recurrence may be prevented. Maintains Economic Order Quantities, lead-times, lot sizes, safety stocks, and other part data to ensure accuracy of Part Master.4. Coordinates with suppliers to ensure parts are delivered on time to Purchase Order schedules.5. Frequent required contact with Suppliers and Cessna personnel from other organizations.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree required.Position Requirements:
0 to 10+ years procurement experience.License and Certification Requirements:
At least one of the following is preferred: Masters, CPM, CPIM, or Six-Sigma Certification.
