Buyer/Purchasing Agent

Purpose:
Our company is seeking professionals interested in pursuing Buyer/Purchasing Agent opportunities in SE and NE Portland. These positions are scheduled to be contract to hire opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have a college degree or at least 4 years of experience in a similar capacity. Job functions may vary from company to company but in general will include the following: acting as an agent of the company in the procurement of production items, services, equipment or supplies necessary for the operation of the organization. Assume the lead role in major and complex negotiations with vendors as well as coordinating all purchasing activities.

We are seeking qualified candidates who have experience using MRO, MRP, NPI, Oracle 11i and other similar software programs. Qualified candidates must have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently, within pre-determined time, quality and cost objectives.

Candidates must be able interview within 24 hours and have 3 professional references available.
