Buyer/Planner - Manufacturing

Heraeus Electro-Nite Co. is a world leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of molten metal process control sensors. Our corporate office is located in Langhorne, PA and manufacturing operations are located in both Pittsburgh and Indiana.

By working closing with multiple manufacturing facilities, sales and accounting teams, the Buyer/Planner position is responsible for the following:

•Analysis of MRP to ensure on-time delivery for multiple locations in PA and IN locations.
•Review and analysis of materials ordered to ensure the most economic purchase order while maintaining effective inventory levels and safety stock.
•Maintain and develop reports pertaining to inventory and purchasing and master delivery schedules
•Obtain and negotiate price quotes from various suppliers for necessary materials, equipment and supplies.
•Establish blanket orders with existing and/or new vendors.
•Expedite purchase orders with the vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this position, candidates should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

•Associate Degree or equivalent work experience, Bachelors Degree is preferred.
•Active APICS member or CPIM certification a plus.
•Five years or more work experience in purchasing, planning and/or related function.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize multiple job tasks.
•A working knowledge of MRP and Inventory Management.
•Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience with SAP preferred.
•Ability to Travel – approximately 10%
