We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to join the Procurement and Inventory staff at our Newark, Delaware office. In this role, you will assume immediate responsibility for providing material execution, tactical contract administration and materials/inventory management services from established agreements to ensure flexible and timely response to customer needs. You will work collaboratively with our Strategic Sourcing department to establish procurement strategy in developing contract prices, terms and conditions, monitoring supplier performance and managing supplier relations for the purchase of stock and non-stock materials.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates who possess at least 2 years of experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
•Experience demonstrating skill applying Purchasing and Inventory Control practices and procedures.
•Experience demonstrating skill using SAP (or similar system) to include the Materials Management Module (or similar module).
•Experience demonstrating skill executing purchase orders.
•Familiarity with performance metrics and specific supplier evaluation criteria.
•Experience demonstrating skill establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
Bachelors degree in Business or a related field is highly preferred.
