ABOUT THE POSITION

The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for:
Maintaining the appropriate level of inventory to support sales and manufacturing
Developing a demand forecast
Reviewing stock status reports and on-line terminals for item availability, requirements, unusual demand, and scheduled receipts to calculate net available inventory.
Issuing Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and Inventory Transfers, when necessary, to realign the available inventory.
Preparing reports, summaries, and giving presentations when necessary.
Contacting suppliers and visits supplier’s site when necessary.
Notifying appropriate staff and management when there is a concern of profitability being impacted by abnormal demand or other unusual circumstances.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Math or Industrial Technology or a High School diploma combined with at least three years work experience as a Planner or similar position in a manufacturing environment
Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong work ethic
Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously and flawlessly
Agile thinker, decisive
