Buyer - Ladies' Shoes

At K&G Fashion Superstore, we are looking for a dedicated Buyer, Ladies Shoes to join our team in our Atlanta, Georgia corporate office. K&G Fashion Superstore offers competitive pay, benefits, and an opportunity to grow with an industry leader.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Responsible for all aspects of product assortment , financial planning, and vendor partnerships to achieve sales, margin and turnover goals.
•Develop and execute product pricing strategies, merchandising and flow strategies based on current data, trends and forecasts.
•Analyze sales and stock by location.
•Analyze inventory by class and price.
•Open to Buy proficient.
•Purchase inventory with a buy plan that relates to the company 6 month/year plan.
•Travel regularly to K&G stores and to market to purchase products or to resolve issues while building vendor/store relationships.
•Understand Weeks of Supply in planning process and implements Weeks of Supply in purchases.
•Train and engage the assistant buyer/associate buyer on the business.
•Follow up on all purchases with vendor compliance of shipping and other issues such as ticketing, pre packs, sizes, prices and colors.
•Recommend appropriate markdown action by understanding the effect on profitability.
Job Requirements
•Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and position-related experience preferred.
•Minimum 2 years area defined multi-store buying responsibilities required
•Travel required.
•Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and data entry is required, knowledge of STS preferred.
•Possess strong math skills, demonstrate good judgement skills and have the ability to learn new skills.
•Possess excellent communication, organization skills.
•Must have strong analytical, financial, strategic and planning skills.
•Must have proven record of strong negotiating skills, with examples to substantiate.
•Be flexible and have ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
