Buyer – Growing Durable Consumer Products Manufacturer

Fortune 500 Company is looking for a Senior Buyer to be a supply team leader in their Purchasing area. This position is open due to the tremendous growth that this company is experiencing. This person will report to the Materials Manager. Will be the commodity buyer for raw materials. Make sure all US facilities have adequate materials. This will be the business contact for most of the suppliers. Will also develop a close contact with International Corporate Headquarters. Will identify and develop preferred suppliers. Will be participating in a continuous improvement environment. And much more… This company has manufacturing facilities nationwide. The opportunity for growth within this company is endless. This is going to be a huge learning ground for someone that wants to advance their career in the Materials field.

The ideal candidate would have at least three years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. Bachelors degree required. Would really like someone to have experience in purchasing raw materials. Any international experience is a huge plus. Good project management skills. Strong negotiating skills. Ability to work in a team environment.

Location: Southeast Lots of Outdoor activities and close to the beach. Great place to raise a family.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree is Mandatory. (Sorry, no exceptions)
2. 3 or more years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Good negotiating and project management skills.
4. Ability to work in a team setting.
