Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, Oil & GasFunction: SourcingResponsibilities: Development of sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Ensuring issues related to supplier fulfillment are managed proactively.
Driving Sourcing Initiatives: Savings, On-time delivery, Quality, Six Sigma and Supplier Scorecards.
Leading Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Supplier Selection Process.
Identifying, visiting and developing new suppliers.
Initiating negotiation plans and conducting negotiations.
Issuing Purchase Orders.
Initiate Supplier Qualification Process with support of Supplier Quality Engineers.
Facilitation of technical supplier commodity reviews.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeDesired: GE Certified Green Belt (GE Employees Only).
Ability to function well in a matrix organization.
Ability to interface effectively cross-functionally.
